Yes, on the weekend Markus went to Karaoke AGAIN! Two times, altogether 5h ;-)
Und ich konnte ja gar nicht glauben was ich da in der Songauswahl gefunden habe!

Aber nichtmal "The bard's song" von Blind Guardian haben. Ich muss da drigend mal etwas Aufklaerung betreiben!

Short update!

Hey everybody!
Wanted to give you a short update on what I have been up to recently.
Last Saturday I went with 菜都子ちゃん to the 未来館 ("Future-Museum").



I want to especially draw your attention to that green spot in 菜都子ちゃん's face. That's here always very cold nose. The only bodypart that is even colder are her hands (they were blue!). And now I have the scientific proof for that!!!!
After the museum, I had my first しゃぶしゃぶ　(shabu-shabu). とても美味しかった！

Unfortunatelly I didn't bring my camera when I had yet another cultural experience at the Kabuki-Theatre in Ginza. But I can tell you that it was a very interesting experience. But without the English explanations on the earphone I wouldn't have understood anything. How am I supposed to know, that when the dancer flutters around with his fan in a specific way it is meant to express the first love of young women???? And I would have very much liked to show you a video of the "headbanging" of the lion ;-)
Yesterday evening I met with Alex in a Bar in 六本木.

On the way home, I was really amazed by his navigation system with a 3D view of the route!!!!!!!

Last weekend, I flew with

on board this

to Hokkaido, to visit the Snowfestival in Sapporo. When departing I was able to shoot a nice picture with Fuji-san in the background.

As expected the temperatures were around 0 degree celcius. But Japanese women don't seem to care about that in the least.


Some of the snow and ice sculptures were really impressive.








I was a little schocked, when I ran across this shop:


But of course I also tried local specialities:


My favourite highlight was the olympic ski jump arena:



Most schocking was what Japanese people do to the German language sometimes:

I am kind of busy recently. So this time I will just write a few short comments in English.
First of all I want to present you a very sophisticated vending machine:

There are other videos, that are longer and were recorded after we had drunk a little more. So I am sorry but I can't upload them here ;-)
On Saturday I went to Hakone with Natsuko to go to an "onsen". As I didn't feel it to be save for my camera, there are no pictures. But I can assure you that it was much fun and very relaxing. I had never bathed in coffee, green tea, red wine and several sorts of other crazy stuff before. But I have some pictures of the lake to which we went before going to the onsen.




The last two pictures are of a huuuuuuuge "toboggan run" that we passed by. Thus of you able to read Japanese will easily figure out that it was not exactly cheap either.
On Sunday we had a little more snow so on monday I ran across some quite good snow sculptures on Hongo Campus.

DisneySea & ISAS

Alright, time to give account for what I did on the weekend. As usual I will try to keep the text short, since I know that most of you only take a look at the pictures ;-)
Saturday I went to DisneySea with Natsuko. The weather was fine, but especially in the evening it became quite cold. Still we stayed there the whole day, since, as can be expected of a theme park, there were lots of things to do.

Okay, es ist mal wieder Zeit ueber mein Wochenende Rechenschaft abzulegen. Wie sonst auch werde ich versuchen mich kurz zu fassen, da ich ja weiss, dass die meisten von Euch sich eh nur die Bilder anschauen ;-)
Am Samstag bin ich mit Natsuko in DisneySea gewesen. Das Wetter war eigentlich ganz gut, aber besonders gegen Abend wurde es dann doch recht kalt. Trotzdem haben wir den ganzen Tag dort verbracht, da, wie man von einem Freizeitpark auch erwarten kann, einiges geboten war.

じゃあ、週末のことレポートをします。みんなさんは写真をだけ見ると思うので、あまり書きません。
土曜日は菜都子とＤｉｓｎｅｙＳｅａに行きました。天気が晴れでした。でも夜の方は寒くなりました。
たくさんアトラクションがありますので、一日中過ごしました。

On Sunday I had Dinner with Conni, Florian, Mihoko and some Friends of her. But since I wasn't clever enough to bring my camera, I can't present you any pictures.

Am Sonntag bin ich mit Conni, Florian, Mihoko und Freunden von ihr Essen gegangen. Leider war ich nicht intelligent genug meine Digicam mitzunehmen und so kann ich Euch leider keine Photos praesentieren.

日曜日ＣｏｎｎｉさんとＦｌｏｒｉａｎさんと美穂子さんと美穂子さんの友達と食べに行きました。残念なことに、カメラを持って行きませんでした。だから写真がありません。

But yesterday I went to ISAS for a symposium and didn't forget the camera this time.

Aber gestern war ich fuer ein Symposium bei ISAS und habe diesmal die Digicam nicht vergessen.

でも昨日シンポジウムがあるので、ＩＳＡＳに行きました。今度カメラを忘れませんでした。
